The creation of a MacEwan Nursing Honour Society is the initial step to pursue Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) chapter status if as a group we decide this is of benefit to our members. Like STTI, the MacEwan Nursing Honour Society will be an organization of like-minded diverse individuals. Our society would align itself with the overall purpose of STTI which would be to:
• Recognize superior

achievement and scholarship.
• Recognize the development of leadership qualities.
• Foster high professional standards.
• Encourage creative work.
• Strengthen commitment to the ideals and purposes of the profession
