FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Central Alberta Wolves Little League Granted Charter for 2026 Season

LETHBRIDGE, AB — Little League Alberta is proud to announce that the Central Alberta Wolves Little League has officially been granted charter status and will begin play in the 2026 season. This milestone represents continued growth of Little League programming across the province and an exciting new opportunity for youth baseball
and softball in Central Alberta.

Led by League President Chris Grudeski, the Central Alberta Wolves Little League will provide a structured, community-driven program focused on player development, inclusion, and positive youth experiences.

“We are incredibly excited and honoured to become part of Little League,” said Grudeski. “Joining the world’s largest youth sports organization brings tremendous opportunity for our players and families. We believe strongly in the power of Little League baseball to teach life skills — teamwork, resilience, leadership — that help
shape young people both on and off the field.”

The addition of the Central Alberta Wolves aligns with Little League Alberta’s strategic priorities, including growing participation across all divisions, strengthening T-Ball and grassroots programming, expanding opportunities for girls in baseball and softball, and creating clear pathways for athletes to compete at district, provincial, national, and international levels.

A continued focus on safe sport and player well-being remains central to the organization, with enhanced safety frameworks and the increasing role of trained safety officers ensuring a positive and secure environment for all participants
Kevin Kvame, President/CEO of Little League Alberta, emphasized the importance of the new charter and the values that define the Little League experience.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Central Alberta Wolves Little League to our growing network across Alberta,” said Kvame. “Little League is built on values that matter — fun, integrity, community, inclusion, and teamwork — and it is clear that Chris and his group are committed to delivering that experience in their community.”
“The continued growth of Little League in Alberta reflects the strength of local leadership and the belief that sport can play a meaningful role in developing young people. We are excited to support the Wolves as they build a program that will have lasting impact for years to come.”

The Central Alberta Wolves Little League will begin preparations immediately for its inaugural 2026 season, including player registration, coach development, and community outreach initiatives.
