The schedule will be announced tomorrow!

An afternoon of live music
-On-site food trucks
-Serving b**r from Bent Stick, canned cocktails from Shiddy's
Community Organizations Fair
-Door Prizes from many great neighbourhood stores and restaurants (with current membership)

Have Your Say! The 2026 SCCL Community Survey is Now Open

We want to hear from you! After generous community feedback, the Strathcona Centre Community League (SCCL) Community Survey is officially open.

As our neighbourhood continues to evolve, your input ensures upcoming SCCL projects, events, programs, and spaces reflect the voices of the people who live here.

What’s the 2026 Survey About?

The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and covers key neighbourhood topics:
-Community priorities and future initiatives
-Past participation and ideas for future programming
-Feedback on SCCL amenities and visioning for our green spaces
-Community interest in a neighbourhood off-leash dog park
-Communication preferences and general demographic questions

Whether you’re a long-time resident or brand new to Strathcona, home owner or renter, we would love to hear from you by the September 30, 2026 deadline:

The Our Neighbourhood in Bloom (ONIB) team has completed their sign distribution, recognizing 75 of the many beautiful front yards in our neighbourhood!

If you received a sign, congratulations. If you did not, please know that the number of lovely yards was overwhelming and they hope to have more volunteers next year in order to do an even better job recognizing the love and work that many members of our neighbourhood put into their personal space!

On behalf of Janice W and Janice B, thank you to Lauren, Jessica, Joanne, Lynne and Macy who gave so generously of their time and expertise in selecting the gardens.
