❤️ Meet Brittany Specht, our Alberta Gutsy Walk Honourary Chair! ❤️

Just months after welcoming her second child, Brittany was diagnosed with severe Crohn’s disease following a rapid decline in her health and multiple hospital stays. Her journey ultimately led to life-saving ostomy surgery, all while navigating the challenges of early motherhood with two young boys at home.

Today, Brittany has reclaimed strength through movement, community, and advocacy. By sharing her story, volunteering with Gutsy Walk, and helping educate future healthcare professionals, she is passionate about raising awareness and supporting others living with inflammatory bowel disease and ostomies.

Join us at the upcoming Gutsy Walk at Rundle Park on June 7th to hear Brittany share her powerful story of resilience, hope, and community. ❤️

We’re celebrating 30 years of Gutsy Walk ❤️

On June 7, we’ll be gathering in Edmonton for this incredible community event, and we’re currently looking for day-of volunteers to help make it all happen!

Gutsy Walk brings people together to raise awareness and funds for the more than 322,000 Canadians living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. It’s an inspiring, high-energy day, and our volunteers are a huge part of what makes it so special.

If you have a few hours to give, we would love to have you join us. You could be helping with setup, check-in, cheering on participants, or creating a warm and welcoming experience for everyone who attends.
