Indigenous Women's Business Start-Up Program

Do you have a business idea, product, service, or side hustle you'd like to grow?

The TCETSA Pathways to Prosperity Indigenous Women's Business Start-Up Program is designed to help Indigenous women transform their ideas into thriving businesses through expert guidance, practical training, mentorship, and ongoing support.

Whether you're just starting out or already selling products or services, this program will help you build confidence, strengthen your business, and create a path toward financial independence and long-term success.

What You'll Receive:

✔ Step-by-step guidance to start or grow your business

✔ Support creating your business plan, brand, and business strategy

✔ Hands-on marketing, social media, and sales training

✔ Access to experienced business mentors and Elder support

✔ Funding readiness and business development assistance

✔ A supportive community of ambitious Indigenous women entrepreneurs

✔ Four additional months of start-up support after training

Program Details:

- Orientation: September 4, 2026
- Format: Online
- Duration: 3-Month Part-Time Program (Monday–Friday)
- Bonus: 4 Additional Months of Business Support

Reporting to the Manager of Housing Support, the Program Coordinator is responsible for program administration, managing records and data systems, coordinating program activities, supporting reporting requirements, and serving as a key point of contact for community members and member Nations.

Reporting to the Manager of Housing Support, the Program Support Worker provides direct community-based support to individuals and families accessing Housing Support services. This position works closely with clients to provide outreach, assist with accessing supports and services, and support housing stability.

These roles are a strong fit for apprentices who are ready to build their trade, gain hands-on experience, and continue working toward their Journeyperson Electrician Certificate.

Please note the following requirements before applying:
- Applicants must have completed their minimum first-year electrician schooling.
- These are local full-time positions in Red Deer and Calgary.
- These are not camp positions. Applicants who are not already from the area must be willing to relocate for the role.
