Ready, set, squeeze! 🍋

August 30 is Simply Supper Ltd.'s Lemonade Stand Day! Junior Lemon Squeezers are putting their entrepreneurial skills to work by hosting lemonade stands in support of the Stollery.

Proceeds from this year’s event will help fund the purchase of NICView cameras for neonatal intensive care units across Northern Alberta.

With hundreds of stands across Edmonton, Peace River, Red Deer and more, there’s sure to be one near you! Find a stand in your area at LemonadeYeg.ca and help support Stollery kids and their families this weekend. 💜

Starting August 5, 2026, the City of Edmonton is expanding its shared micromobility program into Mill Woods, giving Edmontonians more choice in how they travel and increasing connectivity.

Designated Riding Areas
As part of the pilot, riding shared e-scooters and e-bikes in Mill Woods will only be permitted on Mill Woods Road or within 50 metres of the City’s Active Transportation Network, which includes shared use pathways and bike lanes.

These designated riding areas will protect pedestrians by discouraging riding on sidewalks, while keeping e-scooter and e-bike riders a safe distance from vehicles.

E-bikes and e-scooters are a great way to enjoy the outdoors, be active and move around the city.

Vendor applications are open for the fifth annual Knottwood Holiday Craft Fair 2026 happening Saturday, November 14, 2026 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Knottwood Centre.

This popular event will feature over 35 vendor spaces, door prizes, a free hot cocoa bar, craft station and face painting for shoppers, roaming characters for photos with kids and a concession hosted by the Knottwood Scouts.

Table costs: $45. Handmade vendors only.

Last year, we had almost 700 shoppers in 5 hours.

The City is looking for feeback:

"The City has identified we need to take steps to ensure that trees and plants on privately owned land can thrive in our changing climate conditions and that we are adapting our landscaping approaches to better reduce the impacts of flooding, heave rainfall, heat and drought.

While publicly-owned lands like parks and natural areas help the City to adapt to our changing climate conditions, private lands also play a critical role in these efforts. Landscaping on private property, for example, adds shade for cooling, helps prevent flooding and cleans Edmonton’s air, making properties, neighbourhoods and the city more comfortable and livable."
