Alberta Whitewater Slalom

It’s that time….our casino is around the corner and we need 15 volunteers for October 18-19 at Deerfoot Inn and Casino - 11500 35 St SE #1000, Calgary, AB

Did you know that AWS will receive approximately $80k for volunteering over the two days? Come join our paddling community for this major fundraiser.

Volunteers travelling further than 100km can have mileage and hotel paid for. You may also assign a $100 credit towards an AWS member (subject to casino-eligible expenses submitted by the org).

A reminder that each full program athlete is required to have two casino shifts worked on their behalf. Our club fees are kept relatively low due to the significant positive financial impact each casino brings us.

What an incredible two weeks for Team Alberta! 👏

From training sessions to racing at the Pan American and Canadian Whitewater Championships, these athletes showed incredible strength, perseverance, resilience, and heart every step of the way. They continue to push their limits, support one another, and represent Team AB with pride.

Congratulations to every athlete, coach, official, volunteer, and family member who helped make this experience possible. 👏

A big shout out to coach Simon Coward for leading this team. 🙌 Always going above and beyond for these athletes. 🫶
