Bangladesh Canada Association of Edmonton (BCAE) was established in 1979 as a cultural, social and non-profit organization that services primarily to the people of Edmonton who immigrated from Bangladesh, descendent of the Bangladeshi immigrants, and to those who have interests in art, culture, people and society of Bangladesh. Its mission is to provide cultural and social interactions for the families and individuals of Bangladeshi Edmontonians, to integrate them with other communities in Canada and to offer a variety of programs and services to its members as well as non-members. This is a member-run organization and anyone living in greater Edmonton or its vicinity, believing in its cause, and / or being interested in social and cultural norms of Bangladeshi people may become a member. 📢 **REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS (RFQ)**

**Independent CPA Review of BCAE Financial Statements**

The **Bangladesh Canada Association of Edmonton (BCAE)** invites quotations from qualified, independent **Chartered Professional Accountants (CPAs)** to conduct a professional review of approximately **10 years of BCAE's historical financial statements and accounting records**, as recommended by the membership at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

🔎 **Scope of Work:**
- Review historical financial statements and balances carried forward between years.
- Identify potential accounting errors, inconsistencies, or misclassifications.
- Examine the accounting treatment of loans, repayments, and related balances.
- Provide a written report with findings and recommendations.

💼 **Engagement Terms:**
- Initial review on a **fixed-fee basis**.
- Additional investigation, if required and approved by BCAE, at an agreed hourly rate.
- Applicants must be CPAs in good standing with appropriate authorization to provide audit services in Alberta.
- Experience with non-profit organizations is preferred.

🇧🇩🇨🇦 **BCAE Partners with MacEwan University to Prepare Students for Bangladesh Study Tour!**

The Bangladesh Canada Association of Edmonton (BCAE) is delighted to share the successful completion of an orientation session for **19 MacEwan University students** preparing for their upcoming study tour to Bangladesh!

The event took place on **October 14, 2026, at Alif's Royal Kitchen in Edmonton**, bringing together MacEwan University representatives, former BCAE Presidents, Executive Committee members, and community members.

Through an engaging presentation, BCAE introduced the students to Bangladesh's rich history, cultural heritage, remarkable people, natural beauty, and economic achievements. The session also provided practical travel advice to help the students prepare for their journey.

🙏 Our sincere appreciation goes to **Dr. Shahidul Islam** for his initiative and coordination, **MacEwan University** for this wonderful opportunity, and our former Presidents, Executive Committee members, and community members for their participation and support.
