A heartfelt thank you to Serbian Opanak Edmonton and the Opanak Serbian Dancers Association for the kind invitation to participate in Serbian Days.

It is always an honour to share our Chilean culture through dance and to be part of events that celebrate the rich traditions and diversity of our community. We truly appreciate the warm welcome and hospitality shown to our group.

Thank you to everyone who attended our 50th Anniversary Celebration. We were truly honoured to celebrate this milestone surrounded by so many past and present dancers, friends, and families.

A special thank you to Cris Reyes, for always being there for our group and for constantly supporting and helping us throughout the years. Your generosity, dedication, and friendship mean so much to all of us.

For 50 years, we have been blessed to share our love of Chilean culture, music, and dance with this community, and to be part of so many wonderful memories and lives along the way.

It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the passing of Patricia Estrada (nee Rojas), a beloved former dancer with our group. She and her sisters played a significant role in the group's formative years. Later, her nephews and grandnieces also joined, making the Rojas family an integral part of our history. We will remember Patty as a kind and vibrant dancer who always shared laughter and created cherished memories with us. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, February 21, at 2:30 p.m. at Park Place Funeral Home, 51 Broadway Blvd, Sherwood Park, AB.
