The Healthy Streets Operations Centre in Chinatown would like to hear about your safety-related experiences in this community, as well as in the neighbourhoods of Boyle Street, McCauley, Downtown and Kingsway. The survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete, so please consider adding your feedback! If you have any questions, you can reach out to Community Safety Liaisons, Nor’Ali McDaniel at [email protected] or Sarah Terlesky at [email protected]

The purpose of this survey is to gain the perspectives of those that live, work or volunteer in Chinatown (McCauley/Boyle Street), Downtown, or Kingsway; the communities served by the Healthy Streets Operations Centre. Here's an update from BSCS on the transitional locations for services until okimaw peyesew kamik (King Thunderbird Centre, 107A Avenue and 101 Street) is ready. Please share :)

We're excited to share that - thanks to the support of our unwavering partners - we've finalized our new locations in downtown Edmonton for the programs and services previously operating out of our downtown community centre! This ensures the uninterrupted operation of these vital programs and services on and through October 1st, 2023.

These new locations allow us to transition our existing programs and services. They also create more community space, which will provide additional service support in the core, as well as allow us to expedite service delivery changes (interdisciplinary supports) initially planned to be offered in King Thunderbird Centre (okimaw peyesew kamik).

Our focus is now on communicating accurate information about the new service locations to those who access our services.

Key Locations:

- Triage programs and services: Bissell East (10527 96 St. NW)

These include ID & mail, intake, reception, housing intake, youth services, immediate needs, and more

- Four Directions Financial & Hiregood: portable trailers at okimaw peyesew kamik (King Thunderbird Centre) (10010-107A Ave)

- An additional, smaller Community Space will be located at Co-lab (9641 102A Ave NW)

A massive thank you to our community partners, including thegather.co, Work Nicer Coworking, Qualico, Bissell Centre, ATB Financial, COLAB YEG, and Al Smulski, for helping make this possible!
