Hello Local 002 Members,

It's almost that time, the Wellness and Personal Development (WAPD) bursary application will
be open! The bursary is open November 15, 2026 to January 15, 2027. This year you could be eligible for up to $450.

In order to be eligible, you must have attended at least one chapter meeting and completed
Introduction to the Union. BOTH are confirmed.

Please do not call AUPE Resource Center about this bursary, it is only for Local 002 members, and they will not be able to assist you. All the information is on our website:

Local 002 IDEA Committee presents Conflict Resolution Webinar on June 23 from 12 nn to 1PM

Attention Local 002 Members - there are still a few spots left in the IDEA Committee's upcoming Conflict Resolution Webinar, taking place Tuesday June 23, 2026 from 12 to 1 PM!

The webinar will help participants identify common patterns of workplace conflict, respond with empathy, and apply inclusive approaches to resolution.

Our local Vice Chair Michael Decker sits on COPA Standing Committee. Yesterday, COPA had the opportunity to attend Alberta Legislative Assembly.

Chapter 1 had a successful wing night in NW Calgary. Over 45 people attended and some for the very first time attending a union event.
