This past month, our Rotary Club proudly focused on the environment and three incredible local organizations working to protect it. 🌿

Through presentations and conversations with community leaders dedicated to conservation, sustainability, habitat preservation, and environmental education, we gained a deeper appreciation for the important work happening right here in our region.

As one of Rotary’s key areas of focus, protecting the environment continues to inspire meaningful action and collaboration in our community. 🌎

We were thrilled to welcome Tom & Kasia from Nature Conservancy of Canada to our Rotary Club meeting this week!

Their presentation highlighted the incredible work being done to protect and conserve some of Canada’s most important natural landscapes and habitats. We especially loved hearing about the sustainable stewardship work NCC is doing in the Edmonton area to preserve wetlands and forests to support biodiversity.

We were proud to welcome students from New Sarepta High School to our Rotary meeting last night for an outstanding presentation on their experience with Adventures in Agriculture! 🌾

They shared what they learned about farm financial management, innovation, research, and sustainability.

Tonight we were stuffing festive stockings with care, compassion, and a whole lot of cheer! These stockings will go to individuals supported by Skills Society. Skills Society: Supporting the Citizenship of People with Disabilities works to remove barriers and empower people with disabilities to thrive in everyday life.

Huge thank-you to everyone who donated items and volunteered their time. Community service is always better when we do it together. 🤝

The fundraiser was a beautiful blend of creativity, community, and compassion. Thanks to everyone who picked up a brush and joined us, we raised vital support for Rotary’s mission to end polio worldwide.

Join us for our fourth annual Pub N Paint Fundraiser for polio eradication on Tuesday, November 18 from 7-9 pm at Rooster Kitchen & Bar.
