My mom was a stray and had us babies in a community dump. We were found and brought to Zoe's where we've been busy growing big and strong and now we're ready to be adopted!

Hi there! My name is Wondra, and I'm as sweet as I am adorable. Life with me in it will be full of endless tail tagging and kisses! I absolutely love meeting people and making new friends wherever I go. My favorite thing is being included in whatever my humans are doing - and playing fetch and chasing bugs, of course! Whether I'm playing with my toys or asking for cuddles, I'm always having fun. I enjoy running through the bushes and picking the berries off the ground. I'm curious, confident, and ready to discover everything the world has to offer. I have plenty of silly puppy moments that are guaranteed to make you laugh. I also have a soft, snuggly side that's perfect for quiet afternoons together. I have so much love packed into my tiny body, and I can't wait to share it.

About my Behaviour:

I already know how to sit and come when called. I can't wait to learn new tricks with you, especially if there are treats involved - I LOVE food! I am potty trained, and bedtime is easy with me too, I just go right into my kennel! As a condition of adoption, we must register for a force free, in-person, group training class for puppies. We'll learn so much and bond and I can have some socializing time with other dogs in a safe environment, which is really critical for young pups! Without donations and fundraisers such as this 50/50 we can not continue to help animals in need.

Hollywood’s favourite four-legged antihero is coming to meet fans in Edmonton, and raise funds for Zoe’s Animal Rescue Society



EDMONTON, AB – SEPTEMBER 1, 2026: Fans of Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth, get ready—the real star of Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) is making her way to Edmonton. Peggy the Dog, who rose to stardom as “Dogpool”, is paws-itively excited to be coming to Edmonton to meet her fans at the 2026 Edmonton Comics & Entertainment Expo (EDMONTON EXPO).

Peggy will be available for exclusive photo ops and autographs (‘pawtographs’), with a portion from each donated to local charity Zoe’s Animal Rescue.

“We see every day the powerful, positive impact that pets have on Edmontonians,” says Kath Oltsher, Co-Director of Zoe’s Animal Rescue Society, a volunteer-led, shelterless animal rescue. “At Zoe’s, we know that saving one animal can change the world for the better — not only for the animal itself, but through the ripple effect it has on the lives of the people around them. We’re so grateful to Peggy and her family for choosing to support our vision of seeing animals and people thriving together.”

Initially the last remaining pup from an accidental litter, Peggy was adopted by a loving family who quickly discovered that her unique looks and charming personality attracted fans wherever she went. After achieving local fame as the endearing winner of Britain’s Ugliest Dog, Hollywood came calling when Ryan Reynolds caught sight of Peggy in the news. Peggy shot to international fame as “Dogpool” in Deadpool & Wolverine, stealing scenes alongside Ryan Reynolds’ wisecracking antihero. With her scruffy charm, signature stare, and impeccable comedic timing, Peggy quickly became a fan favourite — proving that sometimes the best scene-stealers have four legs.

“We’ve had plenty of superheroes and stars at EDMONTON EXPO, but this year, we’re raising the bar—because Peggy is, without a doubt, the goodest girl we’ve ever welcomed,” said FAN EXPO HQ Vice President Andrew Moyes. “Fans are going to love her.”

This year’s three-day celebration promises an unforgettable experience for fans of every fandom, from immersive panels and cosplay showcases to exclusive shopping and interactive experiences. Peggy joins a roster of other Hollywood favourites, including the recently announced Sean Maguire (Once Upon A Time), Trina Nishimura (Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia), and more.

Ball track toys and springs are my absolute favorites, and I can entertain myself for ages chasing them around. I'll also let you in on a little secret: food is the fastest way to my heart, and I get so excited about meals that I like to chat while I eat. I'm looking for a patient family who will let me take things at my own pace at first, and I promise you'll soon discover a silly, affectionate best friend who will love you with his whole purring heart.

I am looking for a quiet, patient home who will take the time to win me over. I'd do best in a home with no young children as they'd likely startle me. I'm currently fostered in a home with other dogs and cats. I love cat savy dogs as I enjoy playing with them, dogs who want to be left alone or are too much would not be a good fit for me.

How’s my Health?

I am fixed, and I am microchipped, up to date vaccines, and dewormed. I must be fed at least one meal of wet food a day for hydration. Wet food is important, as it's best for kitties, so please make sure it's in my diet. Wet food is higher in protein and can be lower in carbs. It also gives added moisture, which is important, as dry-food-only-fed cats tend to be dehydrated, which can lead to UTIs.
