SAVE and CIAFV are offering our workshop on approaches to anti-violence work on July 11, online.

This workshop will create space for service providers and community members to reflect and challenge the inherent biases that present themselves in anti-violence work and ways we can align our practice with our values. Participants will explore collaborative efforts already underway and practical steps that could move our work to be more focused on restoration and healing.

In collaboration with Community Initiatives Against Family Violence (CIAFV) SAVE is excited to bring you "Shifting Perspectives: Part 1 and 2;" workshops that delve into significant issues related to the intersections of violence in all its forms.

In Part 1, we will create space for service providers and community members to reflect on and challenge the inherent biases that present themselves within the context of evolving anti-violence movements and justice systems and consider alternatives to better support survivors with diverse identities and needs.

In Part 2, participants will continue discussions and learning from Part 1, exploring existing collaborative efforts to develop inclusive systems and consider opportunities to build on and transform community responses to violence.
