The Edmonton International Street Performers Festival Association, located on Treaty 6 Territory, stands in solidarity with Residential School Survivors, their families, and communities. We honour all of the children whose lives and dignity were stolen from them. It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we mourn the loss of Sean Paul Arceta, a true, real-life superhero both inside the costume and out. Sean was the kindest, warmest-hearted, creative, brilliant light one could ever hope to meet. A father, a social worker, a dancer, a community leader, a photographer/videographer, an artist in the truest sense of the word, a friend, and so much more. Sean has been a part of the StreetFest family for over 16 years, and will be missed beyond words. Whether as B-Boy Pharush, YEG Spiderman, or just himself, Sean brought joy and inspiration to thousands of people as both a performer and a human being. Our hearts go out to Sean's family, friends, and everyone who's lives were touched by this incredible human being. Your story lives on in so many. Rest in power Sean.

Happy Opening Day to the Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival! 🎉🎉

The Edmonton Fringe is the other major summer festival that was founded as a part of the Summerfest initiative in the 1980s, which makes them StreetFest family! StreetFest and Edmonton Fringe have fostered a relationship of collaboration and mutual support for more than 40 years and we are so excited to continue for many years to come!

Edmonton Fringe runs August 13th- 23rd, and with more than 200 indoor shows, and 40 outdoor performers there is something for everyone!

Visit their socials, and the Fringe Theatre website for full information about the Festival, to buy tickets, and to learn about their programming happening throughout the year!

We want to give a HUGE StreetFest thank you to one of our Supporting Sponsors: Santa Maria Goretti Centre

The Santa Maria Goretti Centre joined us this Festival as a sponsor, providing delicious sandwiches for our Volunteers each day of the Festival, and a bounty of anti-pasti style nibbles for our Volunteer Wrap Party! The volunteers had nothing but wonderful things to say about the food, and we are so grateful for their help in creating the best experience possible for our hardworking volunteers.

The Santa Maria Goretti Centre is a multi-purpose event space, focused on creating a warm, welcoming and beautiful space for the Edmonton Community. As a part of this, they host an "Il Pranzo" (lunch in Italian) meal each Sunday, where couples, families, groups and the community can come for a bountiful family-style Italian meal.

Be sure to check out the Santa Maria Goretti Centre for your next event, and join them for the next Il Pranzo on Sunday July 26th!

Happy Opening Day to our Festival Partners Taste of Edmonton!!!

We are so happy that Taste of Edmonton is a part of our Festival family, and so excited for another year of the best of Edmonton food!

We want to give a HUGE StreetFest thank you to our Government Funders; The City of Edmonton, The Edmonton Arts Council, The Government of Alberta, The Alberta Foundation for the Arts, The Governement of Canada and the Canada Council for the Arts!

It was an amazing 10 days of Edmonton StreetFest, and we are so sad to see it go! Thank you to all the folks who made it out to Churchill Square, we do it all for you, and we are so happy to see the crowds returning, and having fun at the Fest with us!
