June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada; a time to honour the histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples across this land.

At CAC, this month is a meaningful opportunity to reflect on our responsibilities as an accreditation body. We are committed to building accreditation practices that are culturally safe, community-driven, and rooted in respect.

We will be sharing more throughout the month. We invite you to learn alongside us.

Shoutout to Rachel Wells, one of our dedicated reviewers. Always ready to lend a hand, Rachel’s support inspires her team every day.

Priscilla describes her as very supportive. She says: “This is a rewarding role that allows one to add value to those serving communities and those receiving the services. It also allows agencies to be held at a higher standard.”

Thank you so much Rachel for generously sharing your time and working hard to ensure safer communities, and thank you Priscilla for nominating Rachel.

We are grateful for these partnerships and remain committed to strengthening them as we continue this work, together.
