Well… casino week has officially entered the “last minute shuffle” phase. 😅

We’ve just had several volunteer cancellations for our Crime Stoppers Casino this Monday and Tuesday (May 25 & 26), so we are once again looking for a few amazing humans willing to help us out.

If you have a few hours to spare, or know someone who might be willing to volunteer, we would be incredibly grateful. No casino experience is needed and all positions are explained on site.

Every volunteer shift helps support Crime Stoppers programs and community safety initiatives throughout Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

Our Crime Stoppers Casino Fundraiser is coming up and we're looking for volunteers to join us and help make it a success.
Casinos are one of the most important ways Crime Stoppers raises funds to support our programs - including rewards of up to $2,000 for tips that lead to arrests.
We currently have day and evening volunteer positions available, and no experience is required. Training will be provided.

There’s something powerful about seeing a community come together.

Yesterday, Crime Stoppers was proud to be in Maskwacis alongside RCMP, community leadership, and residents to launch the Rural Sign Campaign within the four nations.

These signs are more than just markers on the roadside. They are a visible reminder that community safety is a shared responsibility, and that everyone has a role to play.

When people know they can share what they see, hear, or know anonymously, it removes a barrier and creates space for action without fear.

As shared during the event, even the smallest piece of information can help prevent violence, remove illegal fi****ms, disrupt drug trafficking, and protect innocent people.

This initiative reflects what’s possible when communities and law enforcement work together toward a common goal: safer communities.

It’s National Volunteer Week—and we couldn’t let today pass without recognizing one of our own.

Chris Holtz, as the President of Crime Stoppers Edmonton & Northern Alberta is a steady force behind so much of the work happening in our communities.

It's National Volunteer Week!

Today, we’re proud to spotlight Chris Holtz, who has dedicated 23 years and over 2,300 hours to serving our community through the Edmonton Police Service. From starting as a front counter volunteer to leading the Southeast Division Community Patrol, Chris’s passion and leadership continue to inspire us all. Chris also serves as president of the Crime Stoppers board and contributes to several other community boards, making a lasting impact every day.

We’re grateful for all of our volunteers, who collectively contributed over 8,867 hours in 2025.

Thank you to every civilian and sworn volunteer for your commitment and generosity. Your efforts help keep our community safe, engaged, and thriving!

Illicit to***co trafficking can be connected to organized crime networks that impact communities in multiple ways.

Crime Stoppers is not involved in enforcement. Our role is to provide a safe, anonymous way for people to report information about crime in their communities.

If you notice suspicious activity, such as unusual deliveries, storage, or movement of goods - you can report it anonymously.
