The 43 year old woman who was previously reported missing this afternoon, has been located safely.

Police continue to seek public’s assistance in locating missing man: The Edmonton Police Service is continuing to seek the public’s assistance in locating a 41-year-old man who went missing one year ago.

Michael Thomas, 41, was reportedly last seen Monday, Sept. 11, 2023 and was reported missing by his family. The EPS issues a news release about his disappearance on Monday, Oct. 16, 2023.

Thomas is described as being an Indigenous male who is 5’8” and approximately 160 lbs with a thin build. He is described as having short black hair. He has a large ‘Z’ tattoo on the front of his neck and is missing the pinky on his right hand. Thomas is also known by the names “Ren” or “Renegade”. He has been known to frequent the Whyte Avenue area.

Police are now considering his disappearance to be suspicious and the EPS Homicide Section is now investigating.

“One year after Michael’s disappearance, we are still hopeful that members of the public might have information that could help us in our ongoing investigation,” says Detective Sylvie Boy with EPS’ Homicide Section. “We are confident that someone out there knows something.”
