For the past two years, Sport Central has worked alongside R&R Empowering Society of Alberta to help ensure our goalies have access to the equipment they need to get on the ice and succeed.

The impact of their support goes far beyond pads, gloves, and sticks. It removes barriers, creates opportunities, and helps young athletes participate in a sport they love.

A huge thank you to Trans Mountain for their generous $5,000 grant in support of the R&R Goalie Camp! 🥅❤️

Because of partners like Trans Mountain, we're able to continue providing Alberta youth with access to high-quality goalie training, mental performance programming, meals, equipment support, and an unforgettable camp experience—completely free of charge to participating families.

As we approach the 10th anniversary of Ryder and Radek's passing, support like this feels especially meaningful. Honouring Ryder and Radek through the R&R has grown into opportunities for hundreds of young people across Alberta, and that only happens because of the generosity of organizations, businesses, and individuals who believe in our mission.

𝟏𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬. Some days it feels impossible that it’s already been that long. Other days, it feels like a lifetime. Ryder was 13. Radek was 11. This year, they would have been 23 and 21.

We often find ourselves wondering where life would have taken the boys. What kind of men they would have become. What careers they’d be chasing, what passions they’d have discovered, where would they have travelled, who would their girlfriends be? The hardest part of loss is that those questions never truly go away. But over the last 10 years, we’ve found pieces of them in the youth we support. In every child who gets the chance to play, belong, grow, smile, heal, and dream bigger because someone believed in them. That’s what the R&R Empowering Society has always been about — keeping Ryder and Radek's legacy's alive through action, opportunity, and community.

Today, we’re asking you to become part of that legacy. We are officially launching our monthly donor program, with a goal of encouraging our community to give just $10/month in honour of Ryder & Radek’s 10 year anniversary. Just $10/month helps us continue supporting youth across Alberta through programs like:

❤️ Free goalie camps
❤️ Registration funding
❤️ Equipment support
❤️ Scholarships
❤️ Mental health and mentorship initiatives
❤️ Community connection programs

For some, $10 is one coffee run or one fast food meal. But together, monthly donations create something lasting and life changing for youth who need support. And of course, if you wish to give more, every dollar makes a difference. This year, we don’t just want to remember Ryder & Radek. We want to continue building something meaningful in their names.

Our hearts are with everyone affected by the fire near Whitecourt. ❤️

To the families who have been evacuated, the first responders working tirelessly, and especially those who have experienced the heartbreaking loss of their homes — we are thinking of you.

We’re hopeful that many families will be able to safely return home soon. Until then, we hope everyone continues to feel the strength and support of the community around them.

Today, we celebrate all moms who have raised, guided, supported, cheered on, and love their children every single day. We also hold a special space for moms carrying grief, missing their babies, remembering memories, and finding strength through unimaginable loss.

As we enter the 10th year since Ryder & Radek’s passing, we’re reminded how love never leaves us. Their story continues to live on through every child supported, every family connected, and every act of kindness shared through the R&R community.

To all moms today — those celebrating, grieving, healing, hoping, and loving — we are thinking of you. Happy Mother’s Day. 🌸
