United We Stand Foundation and the Canadian Red Cross — A New Chapter in Humanitarian Support for Lebanon 🇨🇦🤝🇱🇧
I am proud to share a deeply meaningful milestone in our humanitarian journey.
United We Stand Foundation has officially signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding with the Canadian Red Cross to support humanitarian relief efforts in Lebanon and strengthen the life-saving work of the Lebanese Red Cross.
In Lebanon today, families continue to face medical emergencies, shortages of essential supplies, and overwhelming uncertainty. In these critical moments, the Lebanese Red Cross is often the first to arrive and the last to leave — providing emergency medical response, transporting the injured, and delivering urgent humanitarian aid to those who have nowhere else to turn.
This partnership strengthens our shared commitment to addressing the urgent and evolving needs of vulnerable communities in Lebanon — at a time when millions are facing overlapping crises that affect access to food, healthcare, shelter, and essential services. It also creates a trusted and transparent pathway for Canadian donors to directly support emergency relief efforts on the ground in Lebanon through the Lebanon Humanitarian Needs Appeal.
This achievement would not have been possible without the leadership and support of Member of Parliament Ziad Aboultaif, whose commitment to humanitarian causes and community advocacy played an important role in helping bring this collaboration to life. We are also sincerely grateful to Mr. Ghassan Brax, Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships, Canadian Red Cross, for his dedication, support, and contributions in helping strengthen partnerships and advancing this humanitarian initiative.
On a personal level, this partnership carries profound meaning for me. I spent many years volunteering with the Lebanese Red Cross First Aid Teams, at '604' Qabrchmoun post, witnessing firsthand the courage of my fellow volunteers and the critical role they play in saving lives. Supporting this mission today is both an honour and a continuation of a lifelong commitment to humanitarian service. To my Red Cross family: you are still the beating heart of humanitarian sacrifice and service."
