Safe Sacred Space Foundation is a nonprofit organization based in Edmonton Alberta Canada, that is committed to raising awareness of Clergy Sexual Abuse and advocating for survivors to create opportunities for education, and honest conversations and offer a compassionate, comprehensive, and confidential place for survivors to be heard, validated, and empowered to take back control of their lives

. Our organization provides crisis counseling services, advocacy, and access to resources that help survivors reclaim their sense of safety, security, and peace. With our help, survivors can finally begin the healing process and live with hope for a brighter future. It is a sad truth that survivors of clergy sexual abuse are often blamed for the crimes committed against them. This is despite the fact that statistically, most reports of clergy sexual assault are indeed credible. Sadly, this type of victim blaming leads to survivors feeling ashamed and scared to speak out about their experiences. It also means that perpetrators often go unpunished and can continue to abuse others in the future. This victim-blaming culture can have devastating consequences on the mental health and well-being of those affected by this form of abuse. It is essential to recognize the importance of believing survivors and providing them with support to ensure their healing process begins in an environment free from judgment and stigma. Every year, thousands of survivors of clergy sexual abuse and misconduct suffer in silence, many without knowing where to turn for help because too long, victims have been ignored and or silenced.
