Our hearts are heavy as we extend our deepest condolences to the families, loved ones, and community members affected by the tragic motor vehicle collision that occurred on O'Chiese Road on May 29, 2026.

We mourn the loss of two young children from O'Chiese First Nation, as well as the two men from Rocky Mountain House whose lives were taken far too soon. We hold their families, friends, and communities in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

We also pray for the healing and recovery of those who were injured and remain in the hospital.

May the Creator provide strength, comfort, and guidance to all who are grieving. As communities come together in mourning, may we surround one another with kindness, support, and love.

With heartfelt sympathy,
Yellowhead Tribal Council
