The EdTech program creates a space for students to explore their passions and curiosities through an entrepreneurial lens. Earth.IT Org program is part of a larger push at The Nature Conservancy to involve young people in the conservation mission through a new initiative called Next Generation. Currently we are looking to deploy this project in over 500 schools in 16 countries in Latin America, Af
rica, and Asia. EdTech is open to students from all socioeconomic backgrounds and academic levels. Many students join the program to learn technology skills, while others join to pursue their passions—whether that be marine conservation, environmental justice, or entrepreneurship. In the EdTech program, students are able to explore their interests through a series of challenges, known as “projects.” Each project is designed to take participants through the process of creating their own product a video, an app, or a website that will ultimately contribute to a larger goal. Finally, projects have the potential to create a positive social impact, like: personal value and growth or a website about an environmental issue in the community.
