WHAT AN INCREDIBLE TWO DAYS!!!

The 2026 Go with the Flow Water Conference has officially wrapped up, and what an amazing event it was!

Over two days at NAIT's Productivity and Innovation Centre, water and wastewater professionals, community leaders, educators, industry experts, and partners came together to share knowledge, build relationships, strengthen capacity, and celebrate excellence in First Nations water stewardship.

From engaging presentations and thought-provoking discussions to hands-on workshops covering water treatment, wastewater collection, fire hydrant maintenance, and water distribution systems, attendees gained valuable tools and insights to bring back to their communities.

A special thank you to all of our outstanding presenters and partners who generously shared their knowledge and expertise, including representatives from TSAG, Indigenous Services Canada, Alberta Environment & Protected Areas, NAIT, Northern Lakes College, Saskatchewan First Nation Water Association, Environmental Public Health Services, and Drop Solutions Inc. Your contributions made this conference a tremendous success.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) for their ongoing support of operator training, capacity development, and water leadership initiatives that help strengthen First Nations communities across Canada.

One of the highlights of the conference was our Water Operators Awards Evening, where we had the privilege of recognizing some truly exceptional individuals for their dedication, leadership, professionalism, and commitment to protecting public health through safe water and wastewater operations. Congratulations to all nominees and award recipients! Your hard work often happens behind the scenes, but the impact you make in your communities is immeasurable.
