At last—it’s here! Join us for another meaningful and powerful event.
We’re honoured to welcome an exceptional speaker, Kathy Rolfe, R.Psych, whose 20 years of service with the Police Service, combined with her work as a Registered Psychologist, bring both lived experience and deep professional insight. She will be sharing a brief but impactful presentation on “Identity Loss in First Responder Retirement.”
This is a topic that resonates far beyond theory—it reflects a reality many of us have witnessed and, in some cases, experienced ourselves. Over the years, we’ve seen a growing number of paramedics leave the profession, with only a small fraction, roughly 4%, reaching retirement. While the reasons are complex, a consistent theme emerges: the critical need for stronger psychological support, trauma-informed policies, and systems that truly sustain the health and well-being of those who serve.
This conversation matters. We hope you’ll be part of it.
