It’s official! 🥳

The Ukrainian National Heritage Building in Chinatown is now a municipal historic resource!

For almost 80 years, Edmonton’s Ukrainian community, including the famous Shumka Dancers and the Cheremosh Dance Company, have gathered at the Ukrainian National Heritage Building.

Today, located in the heart of Chinatown, it hosts activities and events for the Ukrainian and Asian communities.

Following City Council’s decision, the building is now a historic municipal resource and will be enjoyed for years to come!

Together with thousands of Canadians across the country, we walked and fundraised to support and serve people and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community. This past Saturday we supported the Bissell Centre and the Coldest Night of the Year walk and surpassed our goal and raised $3,535! Also, we got the 'Top Spirit Team' medal. Thanks to everyone who contributed and participated! Looking forward to next year!

It's always a treat to have Jonathan Mackareth from the Bissell Centre come speak to us. He's so positive and enthusiastic and gracious. As a club we all came together to bring unwrapped gifts for their toy drive. Kudos to everyone for supporting a such a worthy cause. Rotary International District 5370

This week we had the immense pleasure of hearing from Don Charnaw from the Man Van of Northern Alberta. In January 2026, he'll celebrate five years cancer-free!

Our night happened this week at the Gardens Pizza and Sports Pub downtown. We had a great turn out, wonderful fellowship, delicious food, fantastic service and they even turned the music down for us! Rotary International District 5370
