To all members of the AB-NWT Ladies' Auxiliary
The following email was received from AB-NWT Command on September 22, 2025:
“On behalf of ABNWT President Dave Velichko, Trustee Bill Hart and myself Trustee Rosalind LaRose, this email is to inform you of the results for the future of the Ladies Auxiliary Provincial Command Executive Council.
Information and support for the Ladies Auxiliary Provincial Executive Council was provided to all Legion Provincial Executive Council members.
Discussion and much consideration for the future of the Provincial Ladies Auxiliary Executive Council took place.
The Vote was held by secret ballot.
The results were in favour to Dissolve the Ladies Auxiliary Provincial Executive Council.
All Ladies Auxiliary’s will remain under the direction of the Legion Branch it is founded through.
Further communication, direction, and information will be shared with you.

At this point and time, we have no answers with respect to the logistics of this decision. We do know that we can continue to wear our uniforms as we are still members of the Ladies’ Auxiliary.
An email received from AB/NWT Command President Dave Velichko on September 22, 2025 stated the following:
“Once again this does not affect ladies auxiliary at branches that will remain the same as it had been. Including branch level bank accounts. The LA branch level is still under the jurisdiction of the individual branches.”
