Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta is preparing to bring new housing to the community of Wedgewood.

The development at Wedgewood Boulevard and 184 Street will provide 60 townhomes with a mix of market-rate and below-market rentals, with priority given to Treaty 8 members in need of housing.

As long-standing community-builders operating 96 housing units across Edmonton, Treaty 8 First Nations of Alberta recognizes that this project represents a big change within the neighbourhood. We are committed to working together with and hearing from neighbours about how this development can best fit into your community.

Community members are invited to register for the June 10 drop-in engagement session and complete the online survey before June 17.

"National Indigenous History Month must be grounded in truth. It must recognize the strength and resilience of our people, while also acknowledging the harms caused by colonization, residential schools, forced displacement, and ongoing infringement of Treaty rights."

Treaty 8 families and caregivers — your experiences matter.

Have you accessed support through Jordan’s Principle for a child under 18 within the past 5 years? We want to hear from you.

The Jordan’s Principle Caregivers Survey is part of an Alberta-wide evaluation led through Health Co-Management (HCoM) to better understand families’ experiences with the request process, barriers, and outcomes.

The survey takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. Your feedback will help inform future improvements, advocacy efforts, and support for First Nations children and families across Treaty 8 communities.

Thank you for sharing your voice and helping strengthen services for our children and future generations.
