Yesterday’s Community Cooks class featuring Ukrainian and Polish cuisine resulted in over 600 pierogi being made!

As always, we are so grateful for the many hands that go into these beautiful meals. Our cooking lead, Sam, walked us through the cherished recipes and techniques for handmade pierogi and borscht. And with the help of community, and the absolutely incredible team .harm.reduction, we were able to share many warm meals last night.

Huge thanks to the team for inviting us into their gorgeous kitchen space!

Only two more months of Community Cooks classes left. Head to the link in our bio to sign up for June now!

Moments from our last Community Cooks class, Mother’s Day Momo!

We made over 500 momo, a specialty dish from Nepal, to share with community! Pravatika, our cooking lead, reminded us that momo are often made communally, with friends and family sitting down together to collectively work through the steps - making the dumpling dough, chopping and preparing the filling, stuffing and shaping the momo. We paired it with aloo dum, a fragrant potato side dish, and a fresh kochumber salad. We were so lucky to learn about this culinary treasure from Nepal!
