This is a message from the city of Edmonton,

It is with great regrets that at this late hour we are going to have to cancel the Event Get Ready in the Park slated to go on tomorrow.
Our team has been activated to operate an Emergency Reception Center (coincidentally at Expo) for the evacuees in the Drayton Valley area. There are upwards of 7000 displaced people that may register through our reception center. It goes without saying that this is the priority for our team.
Thank you all for your commitment to emergency preparedness and understanding in this late cancellation.
EERNS has been assisting with the evacuees.
we appreciate all your donations and support through our website thank you.
