Eastport Peninsula Fire Department is deeply saddened by the loss of one of our beloved and revered members. Firefighter Darren Lane lost his fight with cancer last night. His absence will be felt always. We would like to extend heartfelt condolences to Darren's family and his exceptionally large array of friends. You will be missed, brother.

We have people stranded in Magic Arm. They are in a cabin but their boat is disabled. RCMP, Marine Search and Rescue, and Bonavista Bay Ground Search and Rescue can't respond because it's not considered an emergency. Is there an individual with a boat that can go to them?
