🌱 BIG NEWS FOR EASTERN PASSAGE! 🌱

Thanks to Gro for Good, Scotts Lawn CA, Tree Canada / Arbres Canada, Eastern Passage - Cow Bay Firefighters Association and Ocean View Manor Foundation, a new garden is taking root at Ocean View Continuing Care Centre—and it's about so much more than growing vegetables.

The Eastern Passage Food Security Society and Ocean View are partnering to create a vibrant garden space that will:

🥕 Grow fresh food for our Community Fridge
👵 Connect seniors with youth, families, and volunteers
🌞 Promote health, wellness, and outdoor activity
🤝 Strengthen community connections right here in Eastern Passage

Imagine residents sharing gardening wisdom with children, neighbours working side-by-side, and fresh produce helping local families access healthy food.

Now we need YOUR help!

We're looking for:
🔨 Volunteers
🪴 Garden supplies and materials
💚 Financial sponsors and donors

A huge shout out to the amazing Girl Guides in Eastern Passage, especially our Embers unit, who are hard at work on their Community Action Badge! 💙✨

As part of their journey in making a meaningful impact, they organized a stuff a tent event this past weekend to support local families and help strengthen our community. It’s inspiring to see these young leaders showing kindness, compassion, and the true spirit of service. 🥫❤️

Every donation—big or small—can make a difference! Thank you to everyone who supports these incredible girls as they learn the power of giving back and creating positive change.
