🎥To kick off National Access Ability Week and Seniors Month, Haldimand County is hosting a free screening of Silver Screamers Documentary at Grandview Lodge. All are welcome to attend the free screening and talk on May 28 at the Grandview Lodge auditorium (657 Lock St. W, Dunnville) at 1 p.m.

🎬Silver Screamers is a 2025 Canadian documentary that follows a group of spirited senior citizens as they produce their own amateur horror film. Filmmaker Sean Cisterna will give a short talk on the film, his experience producing it, and its themes of inclusivity, accessibility and defying stereotypes.

🎟️While the screening is free, individuals who are interested in attending are encouraged to register online for the time and location they wish to attend:

Haldimand County has a goal to make housing more affordable. They’re creating a plan based on earlier reports to guide what to do next. They are hosting an open house on May 12, 2026 from 6-8pm at the Haldimand County Building 53 Thorburn St. South in Cayuga.

We have such an awesome group of Learners! Yesterday one of them took on the challenge of replacing the battery in their old phone. They had worked through every recovery method to get back in to their cloud storage account. No dice. The 2 factor authorization codes were going to their dead phone. The only path left was to replace that battery. Sometimes you just gotta roll up your sleeves, get a very, very tiny screwdriver and get to work!

It stands for Public, Intentional, and Explicit actions to affirm, welcome, and support q***r, trans, and Two-Spirit people within churches and society.
