Dunnottar Station Museum Manitoba's smallest museum? Perhaps. But loaded with amazing pieces of local history. An absolute gem of a place, if we do say so ourselves.

Open Saturdays and Sundays in the summer from 10 - 4! 2021 marks the 15th anniversary of the Dunnottar Station Museum. We aren't able to celebrate this year, so let's do something special for our sweet 16 ;)

Our good friends at the Dunnottar Station Museum are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, so why not drive over there and help them celebrate? If you're heading to Winnipeg Beach, Gimli or Hecla it's close by and on the way. It's located at Central Avenue and Railway Street in Ponemah, within the village of Dunnottar. They're open on weekends from 10AM to 4PM. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. You can even help them out by buying a T-shirt! Come see all of their railway artifacts, historic tools, vintage photographs, their velocipede and "Big Stan", their motorized track speeder.

This Sunday the Lake Winnipeg Foundation Dunnottar Walk for Water is taking place on our corner!

We will be open from 10-4, so participants can stop in after the walk, and to celebrate the day we will be hosting a special museum scavenger hunt with prizes!

We had a great time at Canada Day, and we hope to see everyone back at the corner of Central and Railway this Saturday as we celebrate our 20th anniversary!!!

We'll have fun activities for the whole family, free drinks and snacks (including fresh theatre popcorn!) and live music.

The Dunnottar Station Museum turns 20, and you're invited to the platform. For two decades, a wooden building roughly the size of a generous garden shed has carried a big piece of Lake Winnipeg history.

Come tour the station, bring the kids and grandkids, share your Daddy Train memories, and help launch the next twenty years.
