Did you know in 2024 KinPark Youth Urban Farm worked with 447 youth?! 😳

Programming has started back up at KinPark after the winter break! 🎉

Cowichan Secondary’s Environmental Stewardship students will once again be stewards of the four food bank beds in the community garden. All food grown in these beds will be donated. The youth measured their assigned beds and then returned to the classroom with the KinPark team to learn about crop planning. They drew out their garden plots to scale, chose their crops, and planned out timing and spacing for each of their crops.

We’re excited for another great, productive, youth-filled year!
