Friendly reminder for Quw’utsun post-secondary students: Applications for student awards are open until June 30, 2026.

Awards are given out based on:
• Academic achievement
• Eligibility
• Date your application is received
• Available funding

If you were enrolled full-time for at least two semesters in the 2025–26 academic year, you may qualify!

Quw'utsun Syuw'entst Lelum will be holding a graduation ceremony on Thursday, July 23, 2026, for all 2026 graduates.

Quw’utsun Syuw’entst Lelum’ offers annual scholarships for academic achievements for students in Grades 8-12.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1. Scholarships are available to Cowichan Tribes members attending Grades 8 through 12.
2. Students must maintain a "B" average (or equivalent) in the subject they are applying for.

AWARD CATEGORIES
Students in the following categories are eligible to receive the corresponding cash awards:
1. Grade 8 - $100.00
2. Grade 9 - $150.00
3. Grade 10 - $200.00
4. Grade 11 - $250.00
5. Grade 12 - $300.00

APPLICATION REVIEW PROCESS
Applications will be reviewed and recommended by the Quw’utsun Syuw’entst Lelum’ Graduation Committee.

These awards are presented at our annual Cowichan QSL Graduation Ceremony. In the event that there is more than one qualified applicant for a certain grade level, the Quw’utsun Syuw’entst Lelum’ Graduation Committee will choose the final recipient based on highest grade point average, as well as attendance and community involvement.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE
Applications and report cards are due on Wednesday July 8, 2026. Please submit to the Quw’utsun Syuw’entst Lelum’ office either in person, by mail, or email to [email protected].
