Adrienne Duke accepted a cheque from our Rotary Club yesterday. The money was generated from the Lucky Duck Race. This donations helps get Special Olympics Bowling Athletes to Regional Games in Thunder Bay each spring.
This year Adrienne took 26 Athletes and 6 helpers to Regional games in March. They came home with 5 gold medals, 5 silver and 4 bronze. Out of the 5 gold medalists, 3 have been recognized as possible Provincial attendees in May of 2027 in Oshawa ON.

The congregation of St Luke’s Anglican Church, would like to thank the members of The Dryden Rotary Club for granting us the funds to purchase a sliding barn style door which has greatly opened up the entry to our Church kitchen.

In July/August, Rotary District 5550, with the help of the Rotary Club of Dryden, bused five Dryden students - Quinn Clark, Lauryn Lockyer, Betje Tobin, Chloe Goulet and Charlie Warwick - to Rotary’s Youth Leadership Camp (RYLA) located in Riding Mountain National Park. The junior and senior camps focused on developing the students leadership skills, personal skills, how to serve the community and recreational activities.

This summer through the Rotary Short Term Exchange Program, a family-to-family swap, Adam Millard (a student at Dryden High School) is on a tremendous adventure in Finland. Axel Antin, a student from Hattula, Finland, came to Dryden to spend 6 weeks with Adam and his family. Then in mid July, Adam flew to Finland to experience the Finnish milieux with Axel and his family. By the end of the summer, both boys and their families will have gained a global prospective, acquired a new language and developed new friendships.

This morning, Lawrence Lumanglas of Safeway, and Sheri Lang presented Carter Armstrong with the proceeds of the barbecue provided by Safeway and Sheri and held at Cooper Park on Canada Day.
