Foster Friday - Finale!

The kittens have now returned to the shelter and our foster person gets a much deserved break.

The intensity of care needed in the first few weeks decreased significantly. Daily care—feeding, cleaning, scooping litter boxes, and corralling energetic kittens—still takes a significant amount of time.

Having an available foster home made the difference between life and death for these little kittens.

Big Boy Cinder - 100 grams at birth -> 1.02 kg (920%)
Sweet Girl Sage - 107 grams at birth -> 820 grams (666%)
Bitty Girl Bea - 85 grams at birth -> 720 grams (747%)

Our amazing foster homes give animals in our care the best chance at a wonderful life and we could not operate without them.

If you have a spare room, please consider signing up! Foster timelines usually range from 2-8 weeks, we provide all the food, supplies, and training.

Stop by our Tie-Dye Station at our Father's Day BBQ Fundraiser & Open House! Bring a cotton t-shirt, tote bag, bandana, or other item and create your own one-of-a-kind design. Don't have anything to bring? No problem! We'll have bandanas available for purchase that are perfect for your dog, or yourself.

Every purchase helps support the animals in our care, providing food, shelter, enrichment, and medical care while they wait for their forever homes.

Welcome Wednesday - Maximus & Decimus

Maximus and Decimus are 7 month old Terrier/Pit Bull/Retriever/Chocolate Labrador mixes. They are chunky little boys who are on diets, currently weighing 61 pounds. Due to their retriever/ lab lineage, once full grown they are likely to fall under the large dog category

They are housetrained and have lived with other dogs. They are vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped, and will be neutered soon.

Both boys are happy, very friendly and love people. Maximus is a bit more bold than Decimus. Both boys are being trained not to jump on people, and they walk amazing on the leash. They know sit and are working on other basic commands. These boys would likely fit into any type of home. ****they do not need to be adopted together

DOB: 11/07/2025
Breed: Terrier/Pit Bull/Retriever/Chocolate Labrador
Size: 61lbs - likely to fall into large dog category when fully grown

Looking for a fun way to celebrate Father's Day? Bring Dad, bring your dogs, and bring your appetite!

Join us for a family-friendly BBQ fundraiser and open house in support of the Drumheller & District Humane Society. Enjoy a delicious burger by donation, with options for both humans and pups! We'll have regular burgers for people and unseasoned burger patties available for our four-legged guests.

Come meet our adoptable cats and kittens! Kitten season is in full swing, and we'll have a ton of adorable kittens looking for loving homes.
