Our Artistic Director Alyssa: "I was so honoured to be invited to serve as a judge for this year's Juno Awards in the Blues Album of the Year category.

I'm continually impressed by the creativity, artistry, and skill showcased by musicians from across Canada. It was inspiring to hear the work of both emerging and established artists, and the experience left me even more excited about the future of blues music in this country.

We’re working on all the things!

We’ve got some lovely people coming for a celebration party in the Arts Centre this week.

We’ve booked two Great Big Weekend concerts, and we’re working on grants, donations, and fundraising.

We’ve got a survey going out for our Go Badlands: Outdoor Adventure & Music Festival, and a big meeting with , our friend and media partner, to see what stories we can tell.

Roots, Blues & Barbecue is launching on Tuesday, March 31!

And the cast and theatre crew are arriving soon for our flagship production, The Badlands Passion Play (nearly 300,000 people have seen this over 30 seasons).

It’s a lot for a small team in the Canadian Badlands, but we do it to create joyful experiences, build community, and celebrate artists and their work.

Hope you can ride along by being part of an event, sharing your art, volunteering, or supporting us by donating to the Badlands Amp.

We love music and the artists who create it. We love gathering with people who care deeply about live music so we can bring new ideas back to the amp.
