Our students in cooking class had a cook off today! We had expert chef judges from Cosmetology 7-8, along with Chef Bearhead taste testing and eating all of the delicious dishes! What a variety of inspiration made with such pride by our cooking students, under the steady guidance of Cheryl and Anna-Marie! Congratulations to all for making these dishes from the heart ♥️

We had a great afternoon of giving back to Ena Makoochay (Mother Earth) 🌎🩵. Thank you to Elder Wilson Bearhead for the teachings and to Dave from Weyerhaeuser for providing the trees, shovels and guidance🌲🪏🧝🏻‍♂️. Our students and staff were grateful and honoured to plant 150 spruce saplings to advance reforestation and healthy environments 🌲💚

Land based learning is so central to all subject areas and aspects of our students learning. This Friday our littles made seed bombs at spread outdoors next week, our middles made feeders to help our bird relatives and our older students made environmentally friendly fire starters to be used in our programming next year. We have the best students and staff. 💜💜. We are grateful every day for their love of learning and care for Mother Earth 🌎

Earlier this semester, our high school students participated in the First Aid course at Kickstand, earning 2 credits.

From bandaging bumps to knowing what to do in an emergency, these teens are now equipped with skills that could make a real difference when it matters most. 💪❤️
We’re proud of their hard work, teamwork, and willingness to learn how to help others. The future is looking a little safer thanks to this crew! 👏🙌
