The Foundation Board regularly reviews requests from staff, but we want you — our donors — to see the real impact your generosity has on patients and the teams who care for them.
You’ll start seeing stories and photos directly from health care staff, showing how your DONOR dollars improve patient care in meaningful, practical ways.
Here is our first story…
In February 2026, an emergency room doctor was struggling to remove a ring from a patient’s swollen finger. They reached out to the Foundation requesting a new ring removal kit to help in situations just like this.
Welcome the Ring Rescue Kit!
This tool provides safe, efficient ring removal for rings made of any metal — including tungsten and titanium — helping protect both the patient and the ring whenever possible.
The ER team shared this thank you message with us:
“This important piece of equipment plays a critical role in patient care. In emergency situations where swelling or injury makes it difficult or impossible to remove rings safely, having immediate access to a reliable ring cutter allows us to act quickly, prevent further harm, and provide timely relief and treatment.”
On the day this photo was taken, the ER was extremely busy, so our Board Member Mitzi stepped in to help demonstrate the new kit.
