If the dog of your dreams is endlessly loving, playful, gentle, and ever curious, Phoebe might be just what you’re looking for! As a puppy exploring the world, Phoebe brings a vibrant shade of joy to each day that would make any adopter feel like they’d won the dog lottery.

After a difficult and isolating start to her life, Phoebe is learning to feel safe in new scenarios. She is keen to work on her skills, and is definitely motivated best by affection from the humans in her life. Phoebe is also eager to make friends with other animals, liking both dogs and cats. She looks for happiness everywhere- companions, toys, running around outside, or just sitting calmly for endless attention.

While she is still working hard at mastering the perfect introduction, her daffy personality never fails to win new people over. With a home that commits to assisting Phoebe on her journey, she will surely be nothing but spectacular for her forever family.

Phoebe is good with:
- women, men, and children
- dogs (while still learning canine language)
- cats (has only interacted at safe/ separated distance)

Phoebe needs:
- a home with at minimum a fenced back yard
- a home with time to spend enriching her physical and mental needs
- someone committed to completing basic obedience training
- a home with time and patience to continue showing her that the world is safe

Her adoption fee is $475. As with all dog adoptions, the cost covers the alteration, a microchip, first full round of vaccinations, internal/ external parasite preventatives, and a veterinary health check.

Meet Igor! This spunky and energetic boy is now officially old enough to be eligible for our Fostering to Adopt program. For those that have never heard of our ‘FTA’ program, here is some information:

1. All animals must reach 12 weeks, a safe weight, and have a clear bill of health for us to feel comfortable sending them to their forever home.

2. We never adopt out an animal that is not spayed or neutered, but we understand that some people want to experience their furry family member as a kitten or puppy. So, because 12 weeks old is much too young to alter an animal, we offer the FTA option.

3. The new family brings the animal home to bond with them and enjoy the baby stage, but CFC still holds official ownership over the animal- hence “fostering”. CFC maintains rights to make decisions for the animal concerning medical and wellbeing issues while they start their life with their new family.

4. When the animals is at the right age and healthy weight for alteration, CFC will coordinate a surgery date with the FTA family. Once the animal has been spayed or neutered, official adoption forms will be signed and the animal becomes the sole right and responsibility of their adoptive family.

How to apply for an animal you see in the FTA program:

We will announce on our page and post within the shelter when an animal is ready to find their forever family. However, unlike the adoptable cats in our cat bay, some younger animals may not be accessible to the public. Therefore, we accept applications for the animal and then offer a meet and greet to the most suitable options. Note: we never approve an adoption without a meet and greet.

As with all adoptions, we aim to do the very best by each animal. So, the applications are never first come, first serve. We take our role seriously to align what we believe to be the best fit for each animal to ensure they have the longest and moved loved life possible. 💚
