Something our team thinks about this time of year is how we can help prevent wildfires.

Our team has helped evacuate many communities in the last few years due to wildfire threats, including helping our own community in 2023.

Lets all do our part by keeping our own properties fire safe.

Today's featured resource is a tip sheet on how to FireSmart your property. More information at https://firesmartalberta.ca/.

Every year Search and Rescue Association of Alberta host an all teams training weekend, so team across Alberta can come together for training and team building. Because we deploy across the province to assist in search and rescue incidents as well as disaster response, weekends like this are instrumental in the success of our tasking.
BRSAR is proud to be apart of an amazing team of volunteers that cover our province from top to bottom. Our volunteers prepare themselves for incident readiness, and train in the skills needed to best assist our tasking agencies.

BRSAR is at a loss for words, we are blown away by the generosity. Due to hard work of the staff at our Drayton Valley Pembina Pipeline Corporation a donation of over $50,000 was made to our team.
The local staff raised these funds through out the year to make a donation to a local organization, this year we were picked by the staff to receive this gift.
These funds will go towards training and equipment that keep our members ready to respond in emergency situations.
