Did this surprise you? It sure did us…🫣

Coming into our 2025 Community Discussion, we had members of our community rank issues in our area from the most to least important to them. This was to be a guide for our most pressing issues to discuss at the event and bring forward to council.

Following the online survey, we found the top five results were:
1. Housing
2. Job Opportunities
3. Mental Health Supports
4. Healthcare
5. Recreation

After wrapping up the discussions at our event, we had the 50+ attendees re-rank these issues to allow us to see how things changed following a more in-depth conversation. The ranking switched almost completely to:
1. Recreation
2. Housing
3. Mental Health
4. Job Opportunities
5. Healthcare

These results were brought to councils attention. Thank you to everyone who came out to share your perspectives! We will be continuing to post our findings in the coming weeks.

Who came to our 2025 Community Discussion…🤔

We were joined by over 50 participants at our event, all ranging in demographics. From young to old, near and far, we had a chance to get all sorts of perspectives!
Largely our participants were from the Town of Drayton Valley, then from Brazeau County and area.

Thank you to everyone who came out to share your perspectives! We will be continuing to post our findings in the coming weeks.
