Our primary target stakeholders are single Urban Indigenous mothers who are unemployed or under-employed and are motivated to make change in their lives through post-secondary education and employment. OUR PROGRAM
PHASE 1: Skills Training & Academic Upgrading
This includes life skills, computer skills, financial literacy and an academic upgrading program for college entrance and planning. PHASE 2:

Formal Education
UIHB women attend a college diploma program, in a discipline compatible with Industry Council needs and geared to meet current demands of the labour market. PHASE 3: Internship / Apprenticeship
Homeward Bound’s Industry Council / Private Sector provides professional internships to help participants gain work experience in their chosen profession. PHASE 4: Employment
Opportunities for full-time employment with Private Sector / Industry Partners and support in transitioning into their new lives are offered in this final phase.
