Saying goodbye is never easy.
Last night we held our Annual Meeting. We took the time to thank three of our long-standing members and to bid them a heartfelt goodbye.
Kathy Bergquist, who started it all on a handshake, is not only one of our artists but a founding member. She also served on our Board of Directors as Chair. Kathy has made the decision to make some life changes and is departing SSO as of November 1st.
Christos Pantieras heard of SSO when it was just an idea back in 2019, and he jumped in head first to help grow this organization. As an external board member, he enthusiastically served as Chair of the Board of Directors for five years. His energy was contagious!
Jadzia Romaniec was an inaugural SSO Artist when we launched in 2019. Since then she has served on the Board for two terms as both an Internal and External Board member. Jadzia had a “no nonsense” approach and served SSO well.
We will miss Kathy, Christos, and Jadzia immensely. It takes a village, and we are happy to have them as part of our community.
SSO wishes them all of the success in their future endeavours.
