On Friday we celebrated the grand opening of our accessible washrooms. We have transformed Rotary Hall’s washrooms into inclusive, barrier-free spaces that foster wellbeing, inspire nature connection, and embody our commitment to stewardship, inclusion, and a sense of belonging with each other and the living world.
We are thankful to the Ontario Government for providing us with funding through the EASE Grant Raymond Cho Dave Smith without which we could not have made this project possible. Thank you to our donors for your keystone contributions.
We celebrated this milestone for Camp Kawartha with the help of a Glen Caradus performance of course
We wanted to go above and beyond with this project, so we brought in graphics created by one of talented staff members demonstrating different ways of doing things to serve as a platform for education and empathy-building. We also included Anishinaabemowin on our signage, on top of high-contrast, matte finishes, tactile and Braille, and pictogram-based signage.
