The Dorval 55+ Voyageurs is a volunteer , non-profit organization founded in 1988. It was incorporated in 1989 and is affiliated with the city of Dorval.

Our mission is to organize interesting trips and events in order to improve the quality of life and leisure time of our members. These affordable trips are a chance to visit beautiful sites, attend various plays and visit tourist attractions in Quebec and Ontario while socializing with fellow travellers. We also organize longer trips and cruises inside and outside Canada. As well, we usually host two lunches for members each year. Our annual membership is approximately 260, and is comprised of 80% Dorval residents and 20% non-residents. Membership in the club is $10 for residents (or $5 if receiving bulletins by email) and $20 for non-residents and includes regular bulletins by email or mail. Memberships are renewed annually in October/November. Our Annual General Meeting is held every November at the Sarto Desnoyers Community Centre. The club also supports Dorval Community Aid by collecting food and money at our luncheons. To become a member, pick up a membership form at the Sarto Desnoyers Community Centre, the Surrey Aquatic and Community Centre, or the Dorval Library. You will also find a membership form on our website

A few examples of trips completed: paddlewheel boat cruise on the Mississippi, plays at Upper Canada Playhouse in Morrisburg, Eastern Township vinyard, Ottawa Tulip Festival, Omega Park and much more!

On the second last night of the cruise, on Wednesday, the Crew Show was held. It was very entertaining and lots of fun. It was preceded by a performance by the onboard musicians and singer.

As we were unable to make our scheduled stop in Havre Saint-Pierre due to the strong winds, we had 2 sea days when we could not get off the ship. But the staff prepared some fun activities on the ship. One of them was a cook-off where members of staff completed against each other. It was judged by the head chef.

We are now headed to Havre Saint-Pierre but it is uncertain if we will be able to reach there tomorrow as planned. We are experiencing gale force winds and it is quite rough. We are hoping to reach Anticosti Island by midnight to shelter. And hope it will be safe enough to continue to Havre Saint-Pierre in the morning.🤞

Today we stopped at Woody Point in Bonne Bay in the Gros Morne National Park on the west coast of Newfoundland. There was an excursion to the Tablelands, a very unique geological formation. Others explored this charming town.
