It's a beautiful day to pop down to our beautiful field and get a treat from Seaside Sugar!

Okay Dominion, we’re coming in hot 🔥

We’ll be parked at the HAWKS DREAM FIELD parking lot tomorrow from 12–5 serving up all the eats and treats 😋

We’ve missed you the last couple times because of the weather and a nasty technical issue, but we’re back up and running and ready to roll. We can’t wait to see everyone again — drop by, say hey, and grab something delicious.

BUILT ON RESPECT, ROOTED IN COMMUNITY

As another ball season approaches, it feels like th eperfect time to reflect on what the Hawks Dream Field was truly built on: community, inclusion, respect, and the love of the game.

The Hawks Dream Field was created to be a place where EVERYONE belongs and EVERYONE GETS TO PLAY. A place where children and families can come together, feel safe, feel supported, and create memories that last a lifetime. From players and coaches to officials, volunteers, parents, grandparents and spectators, every single person who steps onto this field should feel welcomed and valued.

Respect will always be at the heart of this field. Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or disrespectful behavior have no place here. Not in the dugouts, not in the stands, not on the field, and not in our community.

We all play a role in creating the kind of environment we want our children to grow up in. Let's cheer loudly, encourage often, teach kindly, and remember why we are all here in the first place: for the kids, for the community and for the joy that baseball brings.

The Hawks Dream Field is more than just a ball field. It is a legacy of compassion, perseverance, and inclusion. Let's continue to protect that legacy together and ensure that this remains a safe, fun and positive space for everyone who walks through the gates.

PROUD MOMENT!!!! The Hawks Dream Field Society would like to say a HUGE thank you to Tompkins Elementary School student SKYLAR HICKEY. Skylar chose to do her Heritage Project on the Hawks Dream Field! What an honour for us! She had some help from her amazing Teacher Assistants Carol MacLeod and Wanda Devison. Skylar's Mom Rochelle was kind enough to send us a few photos.

Skylar, we are so proud of you! Your presentation is so beautiful. You included everything! Even Hecky the Hawk! Thank you so much. We are truly honoured.

We will be updating the donor board at the field before the end of May. If anyone would like to make a donation in memory of or in honor of someone you love, now's the time.

To donate, call Toni at 902-849-0764. She will need your name, address and phone number and what you would like written on the board e.g. In memory of ________________ with love from __________________. Donations can be anywhere from $25 and up.

Well I'm blown away folks. What an incredible afternoon at our Joyful Sounds of Christmas concert at the Italian Hall in Dominion. It's hard to find the words to describe it. It was cozy, heart-warming, festive, funny, and entertaining. The talent was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much to Mario Colosimo, Heather Kerr, Gary Hickey and his beautiful daughter Skylar, special guest Neil Colosimo, the Sarah MacDonald and the Glace Bay High School Choir and the Turnbull Brothers! Boy oh boy were they all amazing! The choir made me cry! The Turnbull Brothers got tied up in traffic but swooped in right on time to close the show and blew everyone away. Thank you sooo much to Tommy O'Leary for providing the sound for us and hanging with us all afternoon. Above and beyond.

Thank you so much to everyone who bought tickets and came out to join us. To all who took the time and spent their money baking for us to help with our bake sale, we appreciate you soooo much. To Charlene Demeyere and the folks at the Italian Hall, we thank you so very much.

To the families of the exchange students in the choir, I hope you enjoyed seeing your beautiful children singing. They were superb!

Thanks to Santa for popping by to say Merry Christmas to everyone! We know he's very busy right now so we really appreciate him stopping in.
