His Eminence Archbishop Apostolos of Canada announces the appointment of Constantinos (Costas) Ragas as General Counsel of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada.

Mr. Ragas is a senior partner at Fasken and National Co-Leader of the firm’s Emerging Technology Group. Based in Montréal, he is a distinguished corporate lawyer with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, corporate finance, governance, and complex cross-border transactions.

In his new capacity, Mr. Ragas will provide legal and strategic counsel to His Eminence and the Archdiocese on matters concerning its institutions, governance, and broader ecclesiastical mission.

Of particular significance, Mr. Ragas has generously accepted this responsibility as a voluntary offering of professional service to the Archdiocese, dedicating his expertise, time, and efforts to the service of the Church and her sacred mission.

Expressing his profound gratitude, His Eminence Archbishop Apostolos stated:

❝I am deeply grateful to Costas for accepting this important responsibility in a spirit of genuine Christian stewardship. His willingness to offer his distinguished professional experience, valuable time, and talents to our Holy Archdiocese is a meaningful expression of love for the Church and commitment to her mission.❞

His Eminence continued:

His Eminence Archbishop Apostolos of Canada announces the appointment of the Very Reverend Archimandrite Evdokimos Mathioudakis as Director of the Office of Communications of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada.

Archimandrite Evdokimos will assist the Archdiocese in coordinating its official communications and in presenting its ecclesiastical, pastoral, and educational ministry to the faithful and the wider community.

His Eminence expressed his particular appreciation to Archimandrite Evdokimos for generously offering his time and service on a voluntary basis, in addition to his primary pastoral responsibilities as Presiding Priest of the Greek Orthodox Community of Saints Constantine and Helen in Toronto.

❝I am deeply grateful to Fr. Evdokimos for offering his time, abilities, and dedicated service to the Archdiocese while continuing his important parish ministry. His willingness to undertake this responsibility freely and with an ecclesiastical spirit reflects the words of the Apostle: ‘Through love serve one another’ (Galatians 5:13).❞

His Eminence extends his paternal prayers and blessings to Archimandrite Evdokimos for a fruitful and God-pleasing ministry in this new responsibility.

TEMPORARY PRIEST ASSIGNMENT
Father Lambros will perform his last Divine Liturgy next Sunday 27 Sept 2026. Since the new priest from Cyprus has not arrived, our Archdiocese, asigned Fr Joseph Xiradakis (who was ordained as a priest last June at Panagitsa) to be our regular priest until the new priest arrives.
Fr. Joseph will perform all Divine Liturgies, Sacraments and Funerals. We welcome Fr. Joseph to our Parish and Community and we will provide him with all support to perform his ecclesiastical duties.

To Father Lambros: Thank you for decades of dedicated ministry and for the care you’ve given to our parish and community. Your spiritual guidance and support during both joyful and difficult times has left a lasting impact. We are grateful for everything you’ve done, and we’ll miss you and your sermons greatly. May your retirement be filled with rest, good health, and God’s blessings. On behalf of our Parishioners, Community, Chanters, Sexton, Altar Boys, Youth Group, Philoptochos Ladies, Epitropous, Church Staff, School Teachers, volunteers, friends and Community Council.
